When Time Stops

Apple Tree in the Sky

“Even if I knew that tomorrow the world would go to pieces, I would still plant my apple tree.”  ― Martin Luther

Orienting towards the future is about sowing seeds today because we don’t know what the future will bring. But today is a sure thing to do to alter our future to what we want it to be. It is also about living today, and if we get another day to live, we can continue to bring about an even better future. It would be like a nice bite of an apple from the tree that we had planted some time earlier. We can be thankful when that time comes because it helps us to understand that something we did in our past had some control over what’s happening today in our lives. Time is so precious and can be easily wasted if we don’t use it to our advantage. When time is lost, we can never get it back. However, we must go on living because everything else will.
