Accept Life As Is

let me tell you a little story about 4 trees...

Surrender to what is. Say ‘yes’ to life—and see how life suddenly starts working for you rather than against you.— Eckhart Tolle

As we accept life as it is, we no longer have to be resistance toward it. When we have an urge to control the things we cannot control, the things we have no control over don’t necessarily means we have no control over our lives. We just have to distinguish what things we do have control over versus what things we don’t have control over. Once we know the difference then it is easier to surrender to what is. We don’t have to fall victim to the things we have no control over but to continue to be proactive in the things we do have control over. If we fall victim to the things we have no control over, then we’re distracting ourselves from being proactive. We are the author and the pilot of our lives so we have the power to alter our course. Things only become real to us when we produce actions instead of producing lamenting thoughts, which only produces idleness.
