The Few Get Up

Susan Crosses the Finish Line

Many are called but few get up. —Oliver Herfor

Oliver made a good distinction between two groups of people. Those who have the opportunity and those who have the opportunity and run with it. Just because we have a chance to do something doesn’t mean it is going to be easy to obtain a goal. Opportunities create an atmosphere where we are encouraged to obtain our objectives. Not only is it going to take hard work, but it will also take a lot of work to get to where we want to go. Only a few are willing to put up the hard labor because it’s a tremendous sacrifice. It ‘s hard to leave our comfort zone to doing something that may give us discomfort. However, there is a certain amount of pain that we will experience. The beginning stages of doing anything new will be challenging and time-consuming in the hopes of obtaining our goals. Patience, consistency, perseverance, and determination are the hardest part of the process of learning how and applying what we’ve learned.
